The Firm
What is 18th Street Trading?
18th Street Trading is a futures proprietary trading firm built around professional standards, disciplined risk management, and earned progression. Every trader begins at Phase 1 of the Funded Futures Plan, at the plan size of their choice. Four phases, each measured against the same published standard and each paid on completion, lead to a Live account trading on the exchange.
Who is 18th Street Trading for?
18th Street is built for serious futures traders who approach trading as a profession. The firm is designed for individuals who value process over emotion, consistency over aggression, and responsible risk management over short-term outcomes. Experience matters, but the standard is ultimately demonstrated through the quality and consistency of the trading record built here.
Who is 18th Street Trading not for?
18th Street is not designed for traders seeking shortcuts, oversized risk, or the fastest path to a payout. Advancement cannot be bought: every phase must be completed, in order, under the same rules. Traders unwilling to operate within defined risk parameters or demonstrate consistency over time are unlikely to find the firm’s structure aligned with how they trade.
Where does the name 18th Street Trading come from?
18th Street Trading was inspired by Chicago’s South Loop, where our founder is originally from. South Prairie Avenue and East 18th Street gave the firm its name. What it represents goes further: professionalism, discipline, consistency, sound judgment, and trust earned over time. The location is where the name began. The standard carried under it gives the name meaning.
How is 18th Street Trading different?
18th Street is built around one standard and earned progression. You choose the plan size you start at; nothing after that can be purchased. Every trader completes the same four phases under the same rules, is paid at each one, and reaches the Live account only by completing all four. The rules are published in full before payment and applied the same way to everyone.
The Plan
Which plan sizes are available?
Four: $25,000, $50,000, $100,000 and $150,000. The size sets the scale: the dollar profit target, trailing loss, contract limit and payouts. The standard is identical at every size: a 9% profit target per phase, a 5% end-of-day trailing loss, and a 25% consistency requirement.
How do the phases work?
Phase 1 begins when you purchase a plan. Reach the profit target while staying within the trailing loss and meeting the consistency requirement, and you may request that phase’s payout. Once the payout is completed, you advance to the next phase, which begins with a fresh starting balance. After Phase 4, the account transitions to a Live account.
What are the phases called?
Phase 1 is Trader Candidate, Phase 2 is Qualified Trader, Phase 3 is Professional Trader, and Phase 4 is Institutional Trader. Traders who complete all four become Capital Partners on a Live account.
Are Phases 1–4 simulated?
Yes. Phases 1–4 operate in a simulated trading environment with notional capital, designed to closely mimic real-market pricing and execution. The payouts earned on completing each phase are real. The Live account is different: its pricing and execution come directly from the exchange.
Is there a time limit?
Yes. Each phase must be completed within 60 calendar days. The timer starts with your first trade in that phase and cannot be paused or extended. If a phase is not completed in time, the account is deactivated regardless of progress, and a new plan is required to continue. Because of the consistency requirement, no phase can be completed in fewer than four trading days; sixty days leaves ample room for a trader who does not rush.
Is there an inactivity rule?
Yes. At least one executed trade is required every 14 days in Phases 1–4, and every 7 days on the Live account. An account that misses its inactivity window is closed. The timer cannot be paused, including for travel.
What happens if I breach an account?
A breached account is closed and cannot be reset. To continue, purchase a new plan and begin again at Phase 1. Previous performance does not carry forward. Each new plan is measured independently under the same published standard.
How many accounts can I hold at once?
One active account per plan size, so up to four at once, one of each size. The combined starting balances of your active accounts cannot exceed $325,000.
Trading Rules
What instruments can I trade?
Futures listed on CME, COMEX, NYMEX and CBOT, including equity index, currency, energy, metals, agricultural and micro cryptocurrency contracts. Only the front-month contract may be traded. Trading out-month contracts is prohibited and may result in the loss of the account.
Can I hold positions overnight or over the weekend?
No. All positions must be closed and open orders cancelled by 1555 CST each weekday; any position still open is closed automatically. During holiday sessions, automatic liquidation may not occur at an early close, and closing positions is the trader’s responsibility.
Can I trade during economic news events?
Yes, with one restriction. A position opened before a scheduled high-impact release may be carried through it, and pre-defined stops triggering during the event window are not a violation. What is not permitted is opening a new position within three minutes either side of a red-folder release. The restriction exists to prevent binary bets on the print, not to keep traders out of the market around it. A single trade opened inside the window may have its profit removed. Repeated trading into releases can result in a phase pass being denied or the account being closed. Red-folder releases are the events marked high impact on the Forex Factory economic calendar. All other risk parameters remain in effect.
How does the 25% consistency requirement work?
Your best trading day may account for no more than 25% of your total profit in a phase, measured as best day divided by total profit. In practice, no phase can be completed in fewer than four trading days. On a $100,000 plan with a $9,000 target, $2,250 on each of four days is exactly 25% and meets the requirement. Days of $3,000, $2,000, $2,000 and $2,000 also total $9,000, but the best day is 33.3%; to bring it to 25%, total profit would need to reach $12,000 with the best day still at $3,000.
Do I lose my account if I don’t meet the consistency requirement?
No. Consistency is not a breach rule. The account stays open, and you keep trading within the rules until the ratio comes back within 25%. A phase is complete, and its payout available, only when the profit target and the consistency requirement are both met.
How is the trailing loss calculated?
Each phase uses a 5% trailing loss based on end-of-day balance. On a $100,000 plan, the account may draw down to $95,000. If it closes at $102,000, the threshold rises to $97,000. Once the account closes 5% above its starting balance, the threshold locks at the starting balance and does not rise further. End of day is 1600 CST. There is no daily loss limit.
What are the contract limits?
Each plan has a maximum number of open contracts: 1 standard or 10 micro on $25,000, 3 or 30 on $50,000, 6 or 60 on $100,000, and 9 or 90 on $150,000. One standard contract counts as ten micros, and the limit is aggregated across all open positions and products. On the Live account, contract limits follow CME and broker margin requirements for the account balance.
Can I use an automated strategy?
Yes, if the strategy is your own. A self-developed automated strategy is permitted, provided its trading follows every other rule. Purchased, third-party or off-the-shelf strategies, including those marketed to pass evaluations, are prohibited, as are exploiting platform errors or latency, arbitrage, and all-or-nothing position sizing aimed at reaching a target in a single move. Prohibited trading can end participation. The full Prohibited Trading policy is set out in the Terms & Conditions.
Can I copy trades between my own accounts?
Yes. Copy trading is permitted between accounts you own, including with a trade copier tool such as Replikanto, linked to your market data. Copying trades to or from accounts owned by anyone else is not permitted.
Payouts & the Live Account
How much is each phase payout?
Payouts are fixed amounts by plan size. On $25,000: $500, $750, $750 and $1,500. On $50,000: $1,000, $1,500, $1,500 and $3,000. On $100,000: $2,000, $3,000, $3,000 and $6,000. On $150,000: $3,000, $4,500, $4,500 and $9,000. Across all four phases, that is $3,500, $7,000, $14,000 and $21,000 respectively. At every plan size, the Phase 1 payout is greater than the plan fee.
When can I request a payout?
Once you complete a phase, with the profit target reached, the consistency requirement met and the trailing loss respected, you may request that phase’s payout. The payout must be completed before the account advances to the next phase. Profit beyond the target does not increase the phase payout.
How are payouts paid?
In one of three ways. Crypto, to your own wallet in USDC (ERC20), ETH (ERC20) or BTC. Rise, a crypto-to-fiat payment provider: you receive an invitation to open a Rise account, and can transfer payouts from it to your bank account. Or store credit, usable toward purchasing a new 18th Street plan.
How long does a payout take?
Crypto payouts are usually processed within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. For Rise, you first open your Rise account from the invitation you receive; once it is active, payouts are usually processed within 24 hours.
Do I need to complete KYC?
Yes. Know Your Customer verification and the Trader Agreement must be completed before your first payout request. If KYC is not passed, the account is closed.
What is the Live account?
After Phase 4, the account transitions to a Live account, where pricing and execution come directly from the exchange. Profit targets, the consistency requirement and the time limit no longer apply. The maximum loss is fixed at 50% of the starting balance, you keep 90% of profits, and at least one trade must be executed every 7 days. Real-market conditions apply, including slippage, partial fills and varying liquidity.
How large is the Live account?
The Live account is sized separately from the plan: $3,000 on the $25,000 plan, $6,000 on $50,000, $12,000 on $100,000, and $18,000 on $150,000. Its balance is real capital traded on the exchange, not notional.
Why is the Live account smaller than the plan size?
Because the capital is different. Phases 1–4 use notional capital in a simulated environment, so a plan can be measured at $25,000 to $150,000. The Live account is real capital traded on the exchange, with the firm’s money at risk on every trade, so it is sized to that risk: $3,000 to $18,000, with a fixed 50% maximum loss. Live accounts that are smaller than evaluation balances are common across the industry. 18th Street publishes the Live account size for every plan before purchase, so you know exactly where the four phases lead.
Which platform does the Live account use?
Rithmic. It is currently the only platform integrated for Live accounts. If you trade Phases 1–4 on DXFutures, Volumetrica or Tickblaze, you are assigned a Rithmic account when you reach the Live account. This may change as more platforms are integrated.
How do withdrawals work on the Live account?
You may make your first withdrawal request on demand, and then once every 30 calendar days. You keep 90% of profits. There is no set minimum withdrawal; a very small request may be declined where transfer fees would exceed the amount, but never a request of $100 or more.
Are there fees on the Live account?
Yes. Platform and market data fees are included in the plan fee through Phase 4. Once you reach the Live account, any applicable platform and market data fees are deducted from the account balance monthly. The Live account runs on Rithmic, at $62 per month including market data.
What happens to my gains if I breach the Live account?
Reaching the 50% maximum loss, or any other rule breach, closes the Live account. If there are gains in the account at the time of the breach, you still receive your 90% share of them.
Progression
How does progression work?
Through four phases, in order: Trader Candidate, Qualified Trader, Professional Trader and Institutional Trader. Each is measured against the same published standard and paid on completion. Completing Phase 4 moves the account to Live, where the trader becomes a Capital Partner.
Can I skip a phase or pay to advance?
No. Every phase must be completed in order, and advancement cannot be purchased. You choose the plan size you start at; everything after that is earned.
Who decides whether I advance?
The published rules. Complete a phase and have its payout completed, and the next phase begins. The same rules apply to every trader, at every plan size, without discretionary adjustment in either direction.
Is progression guaranteed?
No. The plan fee provides the opportunity to meet the standard. It does not guarantee completing any phase, a payout, or a Live account.
Does the standard change as I advance?
No. The 9% profit target, 5% trailing loss and 25% consistency requirement are identical in every phase. Nothing is relaxed for traders who have progressed.
Platform & Eligibility
Which trading platforms are available?
Four: DXFutures (web and iOS), Volumetrica Deepcharts (web and mobile), Rithmic (R|Trader Pro for Windows, with Rithmic Web and Mobile available after attestation), and Tickblaze (web and desktop app, using Tickblaze’s own market data or a Rithmic data connection). You choose one at signup and receive credentials for that platform. The plan fee is the same on every platform. The Live account currently runs on Rithmic for every trader, whichever platform was used in Phases 1–4.
Can I use my own trading platform?
Rithmic accounts may connect ATAS, a professional third-party front end; traders register for ATAS separately, and configuration or trading support is not provided for it. On Tickblaze, Rithmic market data can be connected, with Tickblaze remaining the trading platform. Third-party platforms are not supported on DXFutures or Volumetrica. NinjaTrader is not currently available.
What is the CME market-data attestation?
CME requires traders receiving its market data to declare whether they are Professional or Non-Professional subscribers, and the attestation must be completed before trading. On Rithmic it is completed in the R|Trader Pro desktop application; on DXFutures, Volumetrica and Tickblaze it is completed on first login. Only Non-Professional subscribers can be supported.
Which countries are eligible to participate?
Participation is available only in jurisdictions permitted under the firm’s applicable eligibility requirements. Individuals located in countries or territories subject to applicable OFAC restrictions are not eligible. Additional geographic restrictions may apply based on regulatory, technology-provider, or compliance requirements.
What is the minimum age to participate?
You must be at least 18 years old, or the minimum legal age in your country if higher, to purchase a plan. All traders must also complete KYC and the Trader Agreement before requesting a payout.
How will charges appear on my statement?
Charges associated with your 18th Street Trading account will appear on your bank or card statement as dashboardanalytix.com. This is the billing descriptor used by our technology and payment infrastructure. The descriptor may not display the 18th Street Trading name, so traders should recognize dashboardanalytix.com as an authorized charge associated with their account.
Fees
How much does a plan cost?
$265 for $25,000, $525 for $50,000, $1,000 for $100,000, and $1,595 for $150,000. The price is the same on every platform and is paid once. It covers all four phases, including market data and platform fees through Phase 4.
What does the plan fee cover?
All four phases, and a payout on completing each one. For a trader who completes Phase 1, that first payout alone is greater than the plan fee at every plan size.
Is there an activation fee?
No. One purchase covers Phases 1 through 4. There are no fees to activate an account or to advance between phases.
Are there recurring monthly fees?
There is no monthly subscription; the plan fee is paid once. The only ongoing costs arise on the Live account, where applicable platform and market data fees are deducted from the account balance monthly.
Are commissions charged?
Yes, at the same per-contract rates the liquidity providers and exchanges charge self-funded retail accounts. For example, $2.18 per side on the E-mini S&P 500 and $0.71 per side on the Micro E-mini S&P 500.
Can I reset an account?
No. Resets are not available. A breached or expired account is replaced by purchasing a new plan.
